Prevent Burns
The following tips will help you prevent painful kitchen burns:
- Always use a potholder.
- Make sure your potholder is dry. Damp potholders produce steam, which is hotter than boiling water.
- When you see a handle, assume that it's hot.
- Be careful when adding food to oil. Hot oil can splatter and damage eyes.
