Donate a Phone and Save Lives
The national Donate a Phone campaign collects wireless phones to benefit victims of domestic violence. Women at high
risk for attack can borrow the phones (which are pre-programmed to dial 911 and a non-emergency number) for up to 3 months.
The drive is sponsored
by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Motorola and other members of the wireless industry. More than 20,000 phones have been donated to date.
